Anyone else addicted to Lolcats? I will be the first to admit that I once considered ”I can haz cheez burger?” to be the lowest of low. Only morons would find this crap funny.
I now consider myself a moron.
When my family first started real-life “captioning” our cats, I thought I’d die. Jack sitting at the table waiting for food = “O hai! I can haz breakfast now?” Ollie standing in the closet yowling at nothing = “I haz opera meows!” (Ya had to be there, I guess.)
I wonder sometimes if the craze will continue or if it’ll die off and we’ll forget we used to drift into this fractured funky language nearly without provocation.
Please tell me we aren’t the only family who has replaced baby talk with Lol-Speak. I don’t think I could take it if we were the only family who subscribe to Lolcats daily e-mails…and frequently print out the funniest pics to hang in the fridge. There have to be more of us. Water Guy still prefers baby talk when it comes to the cats (don’t let him tell you differently!). I can always tell when he is over a bad mood when he’s all “Where’s my little baby girlie kitty?” to Elli. Of course, he doesn’t do this in front of everyone…but we have a small house.
